Slot symbol animation for Spine 4.2
A slot symbol is a small rig with a few short animations — an idle loop that keeps the reel alive, a pop when it lands and a win when it pays. Riggy builds them from your layered art and a sentence, and writes plain Spine 4.2 data your engine already plays.
How a symbol is made
Drop the layered PSD: every layer becomes a part, groups tagged [bone] become bones, and the shape of a part comes from its layer mask, not only from its alpha. Then say what should move — “idle breathing, a pop on land, a win with a flash” — and the model rigs and animates it with tools that measure the art rather than guess it.
If your spec already has exact curves, paste them: a Bezier quartet copied from Spine or from your own spec is taken as is, with absolute time and value, the way Spine 4.2 stores it.
A real rig
Symbol pages appear here as real symbols are rigged. Meanwhile, this is a rig Riggy built from layered art and one sentence, playing in the official Spine runtime. More examples.

Crate of dynamite
A crate of loose things — six sticks, a cord and two flames. The sticks breathe on staggered timings so the pile does not move as one block, and the flames flicker on periods of their own.

Plain Spine 4.2 files. Playing them in your own product needs a Spine runtime licence from Esoteric Software — what that means.
